Four months ago Danny Sullivan’s sister escaped her fate as a human sacrifice in an ancient Celtic ritual. Now Danny is back in Maine to find the crazed lunatic and secure his sister’s safety for good. For ex-Army man Danny, the search for the killer is not just about his sister, it is also his chance to put the demons in his troubled past to rest.
Mandy Brown has a secret that could cost her family their lives and their livelihood. Her former employer, Nathan, was the crazed lunatic dabbling in Celtic magic. She has information that could break the case wide open, but the more Danny pokes around, the more threats she receives.
When Mandy’s brother is abducted, she knows she must come clean. The powerful attraction between her and Danny will never amount to anything if he discovers she has been covering for Nathan. In this complex game of desperation and magic, time is the most precious commodity.
This book is a follow up to Midnight Exposure. Although the action is intense and the story fast paced and exciting, it is bad guy Nathan who really shines as an alpha male. His tempestuous history is fascinating and makes you secretly want to root for him instead of the good guys.
