Tori McCallan leaves home to find freedom away from the pack, tired of her alpha brother’s domineering ways and the constant reminder she is unable to shift. But avoiding other weres proves difficult when a killer sets his sights on her and her rescuer smells delicious.
Russ Magnus is a rogue and prefers to stay that way after letting down his pack, which is subsequently annihilated. He never imagines finding a mate after losing his first one, but she is in danger and needs his help.
Tori wants to stays away from male werewolves, yet falls for an alpha. Russ is determined to save her also from himself, but leaving her behind proves most difficult with a killer is hot on her heels.
Ms. Rush writes a hot story with an intriguing story line. The character development is excellent and offers readers important insights into the plot. I especially enjoy villain’s thoughts, as it is rather funny how he pretends to have it all under control when in fact he has no clue. It is an entertaining and well-crafted story, well worth the read.
