Marianne Cordell has the body and looks to get just about any man she wants. Whenever a relationship goes sour, she can depend on her best friend Simon to be there for her.
Simon Trent has loved Marianne forever it seems. Even so, he comforts her, holds her, and heals her just to let her go onto her next love adventure.
When Marianne meets Mark, it seems she has finally met The One; at least until she finds out that he considers paddling her bottom a form of punishment when she does wrong. As Simon and Mark meet and begin to see where each other lies in her life, one small misstep will change the dynamic of all their relationships. Soon Sophie is added to the already complicated mess as she becomes a new interest for Simon. Will Marianne be able have Mark and Simon in her life and where will that leave Sophie?
Marianne! A Journey Round a Golden Sun is a story that gives me mixed feelings. I loathe how manipulative, bratty, and conniving Marianne comes across. That in itself gets good marks for author Simon Lowrie as this shows me what talent and passion is used to enforce his characters. I also found myself wanting to throttle Simon because of how horribly cruel and disdainful he was with Sophie. However, the overall storyline flowed really well and while I may not understand the whole concept of D/s lifestyles it did open my eyes quite a bit with this tantalizing tale.
