Stella Blue Darter wants away from the gambling and prostitution that has made her life empty. Her addiction to gaming has ruled her life long enough, so when she finally collects the funds to get off the ship she has so long lived upon, she is quick to purchase a ticket for whatever planet she can afford. Kidnapped upon arrival, her life takes a dramatic swing into chaos as she is pulled into a political and slave-based society.
Harker first meets Stella at a cotillion, or civilized, slave auction block. Taken by her passion, he finds himself kidnapped and used for his manhood. As only a second son, he has no choice but to obey his brutal master. His feelings for Stella, however, make him do what he can to save her.
Torn apart by circumstances beyond their control, these two passionate characters will do what they can to be together. But in a world that separates men from women and finds unjust treatment fair game, will they be able to fight through the chains that bind them to subservience? Or will death be the price they pay in a Man’s World?
Detailed passion and BDSM elements riddle this erotic science fiction romp. In a world nothing like our own, these characters must play by rules others create and use technology that is far beyond our current capabilities to win against daunting odds. Although this story was rich in details and brilliant in depictions of sex, it lacked the tenderness between the main characters that would have made their relationship and ties to each other believable. At one point, the main character even has relations with the brother of Harker, and likes it, suggesting that perhaps her motivations are lust rather than the love she proclaims to feel.
