Rating: 3 Cups
Megan West refuses to allow anything or anyone to ruin her cousin’s wedding. So when some man barges in demanding that they stop the wedding, she is ready to take him down.
Logan Doyle thinks that his grandfather is getting married when he tries to stop the wedding. Realizing it is not his Gramps does not keep the maid of honor from giving him the lecture of his lifetime.
After she finally got things straightened out with Logan, things went much smoother until a secret that will shock her to her core is revealed. Now she is trying to find out what the truth is and how long those she has trusted most have lied to her. Logan is helping Megan get to the bottom of the mystery and along the way they end up in some strange and interesting places. When all is said and done, can Megan forgive those who lied to her and overcome her problem with cops, or will it lead to her giving up the man she has come to love?
Luck Be a Lady is a cute tale full of funny anecdotes and interesting complications. I thought the way Logan burst into the wedding just as Megan was ready to sigh with relief that it was going off without a hitch was quite funny. Also, the intriguing family members who make up so much of the story added to the plot. Ms. Linz really kept this book going with the wacky members of the Last Resort town and their hi-jinks. You will enjoy reading this novel, I know I did.
