Erotic Romantic Suspense
Rating: 3 Cups
Lily has been alone since her husband’s death in a car crash three years ago, and her only child is away at college. She is intrigued by her new tenant, Jake, and by the fact that he is accompanied by a small black dog formerly owned and loved by a couple who left town recently.
Jake lost his career and his wife after a deadly mistake on the job. He has been drifting aimlessly, and hiding in a bottle of Jack Daniels, until a stray dog breaks into his self-absorption. His search for the owners brings him more trouble than he bargains for, but it also brings him to Lily, his attractive landlady.
A burnt out ex-cop and a lonely widow are brought together to solve the mystery of the deaths of a young couple. The local lumber mill is producing more than just lumber.
This is a fast moving and suspense filled story, with extremely vivid characters. Jake and Lily have a lot of chemistry and their love story is very gripping. The murder mystery is equally engrossing. This is a fast and enjoyable read.
