Rachel Conners had her reasons for not returning home after five years. It is important to be with her family now, but she does not wish to unveil her medical problems to them.
Kyle Landers has lived with Rachel’s parents going on four years, helping out on the ranch. He does not understand Rachel’s actions and is determined to dislike her when she arrives.
Feeling bad for returning to Tennessee after all these years, Rachel realizes it will be good to be home for the holidays. Kyle had intentions of leaving Rachel stranded at the airport and telling her parents the plane was late, but his plans changed. He soon learns he misjudged Rachel. They feel a connection and spend time together. When Rachel learns Kyle’s mother died of cancer, she is afraid to tell him her problems, but upon hearing the truth, he will not leave her side. He admits he has fallen in love with her, and she with him. After an airplane crash severs their lives, Rachel never expected the twists and turns that would bounce in to her life, but was love enough to keep her going?
This story flows at a good pace, keeping this reader glued to the characters. At first I was afraid I would not like Kyle for his attitude, but he quickly melted the chip on his shoulders. As the story progresses, Kyle and Rachel were likeable, and I found myself connecting to them as if they were my next door neighbors. I wanted to share in their happiness and sadness. Melissa Miller weaves a storyline amidst heartbreak; love, joy, and more sorrow only to bring out how true love makes all things work together for good. Love Heals All Pain has a way of making the reader believe anything is possible.
