Sloane Gideon is a mercenary and good at her job. When her friend Gina ends up in trouble, she drops everything to go to Columbia.
Lucas Ramsey knows that due to his knee injury, his life as a soldier is over. But before retiring and going home, he has to stop the general’s daughter from getting to Columbia.
Sloane is furious when she finds out her father sent Lucas to stop her, especially since she knows the general is not the lovey-dovey caring kind. After leaving Lucas knocked out in the airport, she figures she has seen the last of him until he shows up in Columbia. Though she wants to rant at him, Sloane finds she is thankful for his help as the danger increases the closer they get to retrieving Gina. Along the way, they find a passion that leaves them both hungry for more. But this is more than just a rescue mission and it has something to do with Sloane’s forgotten past and her father, and it is leading her right into an unforeseen danger which could cost Lucas, Gina, and Sloane their lives.
If I could shout to the top of the roof, I would, as Ms. Butcher gave us a thrilling and suspenseful tale that never stops! Living on the Edge is a brilliant title as it leaves you hanging on for dear life as you watch these two interesting and strong characters fight their passion as well as fight for their lives in this romantic suspense. If that is not enough to get you intrigued with this tale, there are secrets afoot that have not yet been discovered. The Edge Series has left me on the edge of my seat, and I for one cannot wait to see whose story is going to be next.
