LILY IN WONDERLAND

Rating: 4 Cups
For most girls, having his and hers matching shiners would be cause for alarm, but for Lily Tucker it is pretty much par for the course. Her relationships end in only one way, and that is bad. But this is it, she is giving up on men for good, or at least for a while.
Whatever he has done wrong, Deputy Toby Dodd would really like to know. He thought his relationship with Pam was it, they would get married, have a passel of kids, and grow old together...but apparently she felt differently.
Lily really does not have any illusions about the new found inheritance from her grandmother’s estate, but at least it gives her a great excuse to leave California, and Jake Pratt far far behind. Her past, however, is not so easily escaped. Before she ever makes it to the island, the local deputy stops her. Toby knows she is trouble right from the start, but what honest red-blooded male can resist this kind of trouble? He is not at all sure he wants to. Lily likes Toby, she likes him a lot, maybe so much that putting him in danger feels like the worse thing that has ever happened in her godforsaken life, and if she needs to move on to keep him safe, she will do just that.
If you are up for it, here is a heroine well equipped to take down any man, young, old, and everything in between. Lily is a fast-talking, hip swinging woman willing and able to use every one of her feminine wiles to get the man she wants, and has a great time doing it. Her character is every mama’s nightmare, whether she is your daughter or your son’s girlfriend, but you cannot help but fall in love with her. Toby is just as smitten, and it is his loyalty and devotion that really draws the reader right into the heart of their story.
