Ada Ross, a young widow, is still troubled by the mysterious death of her husband, a history professor. Almost a year later, she still does not have any answers, though the handsome detective Eric Perfater has made a point of staying in touch with her. She is attracted to Eric, but she thinks he is just doing his job.
Eric is just as puzzled by the death of Ada’s husband as she is. Even though the case is closed since the police could find no evidence of foul play, he is certain the death was not an accident. Unknown to Ada he is just as attracted to her, but he feels guilty for it since he met her while investigating her husband’s death.
When Eric asks Ada to contact a woman by e-mail that he thinks might know more about her husband Terrence’s death, Ada is dubious to say to the least. The woman, Josephine, turns out to have all the answers, but they are ones it would have been safer for Ada and Eric not to know. When Josephine and Ada are kidnapped by a crazed cult leader, Eric is the only one left who may be able to save them.
I liked this book; it was an enjoyable read for me. Ms Jordan does an excellent job of fostering empathy in the reader for the lonely widow Ada. Also, the relationship between Ada and Eric is well presented and easy to relate to. The sex is very hot and realistic, given the situations presented. If you like stories about the battle between good and evil with some great romance thrown in, then you will love Legion 2: Adult Education.
