Susan has left her old life and cheating ex behind her. She has a new life now reading tarot cards in a shop in Fresno, and has decided to move on with her love life as well. Unfortunately, the ghosts that haunt her new home also want a say in her love life.
Max Lancaster meets Susan as the result of a bet. He is skeptical of his first tarot reading, especially when Susan hits too close to home on some of her observations. She is very attractive, but she is a witch who lives in a haunted house.
A woman who has been hurt badly by a former love moves from LA to a simpler life in Fresno. When she finally decides to try to love again, her employer and the ghostly couple who live in her house are there to help.
Last Chance is an entertaining tale. Susan is a very sympathetic character and Max is very hot. I loved Alice and Bernard; they were very much like concerned parents to Susan, and Martha and Rick were equally as caring. There were a few characters whose introductions went nowhere, this distracted me from the plot a little bit. I guess I expected more from them but I enjoyed this story.
