Beth Kincaid is not happy to be heading back to her hometown. In fact, she is quite annoyed and hoping to wrap things up quickly there. She left that miserable, unhappy childhood far behind for a better life in the city, or so she thought.
Having to confront her past, come back and face Michael an old sweetheart, Joe her alcoholic father, and deal with Stephen an ex-fiancé all in the midst of settling her guardian’s estate takes an emotional toll on Beth. The secrets she begins to unravel within the estate’s belongings start to change her outlook.
With the past mingling with the present Beth must make some tough choices and those choices could not only change her life, but those around her as well. If she’s not too careful one of those choices may even end her life.
Kincaid’s Hope is Mystery, Romance and Danger, all rolled into one along with much more. Toss a few eccentric side characters in the mix and it all blends well. Beth’s story is heartfelt and the problems she faces with Michael, Steven, her father and others might seem very heavy a burden, but the lesson she learns from it all is immeasurable. A great anytime read.
