Sam Spenser is a beautiful and deadly woman who owns her own security firm. Right now she is suffering from amnesia as the result of being shot. She does know her father is in trouble and she has to help him.
Max Stone used to be an FBI agent until his partner and fiancée was killed after being set up by their boss. His brother, Kevin, an agent also, is the all he has left, and now Kevin is missing.
When a beautiful and injured snow bunny shows up at his door, Max thanks the powers that be for the gift. That is until he sees the gunshot wound. He does not believe that she has amnesia, and he is sure that she knows something about his brother’s disappearance. Sam finds herself falling in love with Max despite the fact that he will not trust her, but there are more important things at hand right now, like staying alive long enough to find her father and Max’s brother.
This is a gripping suspense story. There are very few breaks in the action, and I was unable to put the book down for any amount of time. I just had to see what happened next. Max and Sam are very compelling characters and the chemistry and love scenes between the two of them are very well presented. This author has a real gift for description, and I was out of breath after some of the chase scenes. The combination of great characters and a fast moving and exciting plot make this one a keeper and the title alone is sure to catch any reader’s eye.
