Larissa Zahn has put her past in its place. Instead of a bookstore, it is a store all about romance that she will use to launch herself into security. Instead of placing her dreams in the arms of the man she once thought would be by her side forever; she is placing her dreams in her ability to run a store. But when she goes to a meeting she thought would ensure that future, she does not have a plan for facing the man that left her heart broken with his lack of faith.
Jason Cantrell has run a successful adventure and travel business spawned by traveling around with his anthropological dad. But times have changed, and his partner is putting down roots with his new love. This leaves Jason to redirect his plans for his future and create a store front for his business. But when he finds he is competing for the space with his cheating ex-girlfriend, sparks are about to fly.
To further complicate an already sticky situation, an electrical brown out leaves Jason and Larissa locked in a mall with no way out till morning. They could spend the time rehashing the issues that tore them apart once upon a time, or they could explore the driving desire that forces them together even when their broken hearts would have them stay apart. Can they come to a mutually satisfying agreement…Just For The Night?
With passion play with chocolate warmed by scented candles, Weber amps up the heat in this steamy romantic tale. It is easy to sympathize with the ‘one that got away’ relationship that exists between the main characters because who has not had those ‘what if’ feelings at the end of one relationship or the other? What is fun in this story is that the characters express a truly believable passion and tenderness for each other that will leave readers hoping that their love story will last beyond this one night.
