Paige Grayson is a nurse in a New York hospital. She has managed to stay hidden from the press for several years. However, the attack on her at work puts her name back out there for the world to remember the horrific tragedy that put her and her family in the headlines.
Mace made a promise to his best friend, Gray, before every Delta Force mission. Until now, he has not had to keep that promise. Running his bar and helping his friend, Caleb, get his memory back; Mace has a lot on his plate. Then, the woman he hoped to put out of his mind arrives on his doorstep, and he has to make good on that promise.
Paige moved around to avoid be recognized. Her brother, Jeffrey, took a gun to school and shot her friends, forcing her to watch. His psychotic nature was something she had known for years, but no one would listen to her. Her psychic abilities have marked her as a freak…to everyone except her step-brother, Gray. Now, she has gotten word of Gray’s death, but there are no answers as to how it happened. The attack at the hospital has Paige packing up her life and running again. The time has come for some answers so she runs to the only person who will have them…Gray’s Delta Force brother and best friend, Mace. Unfortunately, trouble follows her to the quiet little town, and the Delta Force team is back on a mission, but now it is a personal one.
Let me start off by simply saying, sexy Delta Force soldiers and romance should go hand in hand. Before you pick this book up, make sure you have turned the air-conditioning up and grabbed a cold beverage. You will need it. The author takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions. One minute your breath is catching because of an intense love scene and the next minute your heart is racing for a completely different reason. Mace is a man’s man and his vow to take care of Paige is beyond honorable. Paige is such a strong woman and she does not need to be coddled. These two characters butting heads -and a few other body parts- kept the story moving at a rapid pace. The action and romance is intense and heart-stopping. There is certainly something In the Air Tonight and it smells like a huge success for Ms. Tyler.
