Jane Alexander is a successful sports-caster. She was known as 'Plain Jane' in high school but is very different now. She is beautiful, polished, and confident.
Grayson Pierce is the star of the Rockets baseball team. He is handsome, sexy, and has a reputation as a bad boy.
The last person Jane wants to cover is Grayson. She thought they were friends, and more, until an overheard conversation devastated her. Grayson could never understand Jane’s rejection and now that he has found her again, he will never let her go. The biggest threat to their happiness is not her anger but his secret.
I really enjoyed this story and finished it in one sitting. The story is fast moving, interesting, and has some pretty suspenseful moments. The author really has a gift for drawing the reader into the story, and I was totally engrossed. Jane and Grayson are appealing characters, and the secondary characters are equally well drawn, allowing the reader to really get to know the couple. There is a nice subplot involving Jane’s cameraman and good friend Nate, who is one of my favorites in this story.
