Owning a resort like Clearwater Springs is a goal that Marc Strauss has been working towards since high school. He loved his family’s vacations so much that he wants to be able to re-create that feeling for as many people as possible, but becoming a master of crisis management was not exactly part of his dream.
The spoiled little rich girl persona is beginning to leave a very bad taste in Rachel Winston’s mouth, and her latest debacle has put her in the media spotlight once again. However, this time the courts have intervened, and Rachel may finally be getting her just desserts.
Marc is livid with his brother Brett for allowing some idiotic little starlet to work out her “sentence” here at Clearwater Springs as a maid. He has no time and even less patience for dealing with Rachel Winston, but that is all about to change. Rachel wants more than anything to turn over a new leaf, and finally get her life under control, and showing Marc how wrong he is may be the perfect solution. Marc’s sexual attraction for Rachel may be completely mutual, but the potential for disaster is astronomical, especially when the media will stop at nothing to expose both of them to the public eye.
This story has the all too familiar ring of young women in the social spotlight giving little thought to anything beyond their own wants and desires. It is refreshing to see someone like Rachel making restitution for a temper tantrum that she is about twenty years too old to be having. And in my opinion Marc is all guy when it comes to a pretty face, because even though he condemns Rachel, he is all too eager to kiss and forget. I think it would be great to see more courts try this out, but orange jump suits and trash bags along the interstate seem much more fitting.
