Deedra Masefield is a reporter with the Daily Spokesman. When she has the opportunity to go to work on a story involving a murder, she jumps at the chance, especially when she learns an old childhood friend is a suspect.

Ben Larsen is a reporter with News-Transcriber and has co-worked with Deedra on other stories. He also has a background in law enforcement.

It appears that Gregg’s knife was the murder weapon in the death of Rhonda Adams. Deedra has known Gregg Dancer ever since childhood. Just the thought of his name still makes her heart skip a beat, but not as much as the name of Ben when she learns he is also there working on a story. Deedra and Gregg drifted apart through the years, but he would never murder anyone. She heads for North Edge, a ghost town that appears to have secrets. She runs into Ben and informs she is doing a story about mixosaurus as well as checking out the murder. Deedra has worked with Ben in the past, always feeling a competitive edge with her colleague. Can Ben and Deedra piece together any information to get any leads on the killer, or will danger threaten them before the killer is found?

If you want a good read that carries you right in the middle of the mystery and suspense, then, In Dead Man’s Alley, is the perfect read. Not only is it thrilling and action-packed, but the lifelike characters blend enthusiasm into the pages, transporting the reader into an adventure not easy to forget.
