HEART OF THE WILD BEAST
Science Fiction / Paranormal Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Not many young girls meet their destiny at the age of ten, but Andra Carrington knew when she met Dav that something special had just entered her life. She continued to grow and learn after that amazing summer, and eventually became an anthrogenealogist and a staunch environmentalist.
Living between two worlds is not always easy, but David Wolfe has always known exactly where his loyalties lie. However much he wishes things could be different, David knows in his heart that his people must come first, and his own personal feelings a much distant second.
Always in the back of her mind, Andie knew that Dav was the man who she had given her heart to, the man by whom all others would be measured and found lacking. She loves her work, however, and being part of the CARI expedition to find Sasquatch is the chance of a lifetime. David knows exactly why Andie is here, and why he is the guide, but telling her will be the hardest thing he has ever done in his life. He loves her more than life itself, but she is not his to have, unless he does the one thing he could never imagine doing--defy the council.
All of our lives we have heard stories of Big Foot, Sasquatch, Yeti, and so on, but most of us scoff at truly believing they may exist. This story takes that theoretical creature and brings it to life in a way that is as fantastical as it is lovingly real. Dav and Andie’s connection to the world around them as well as each other makes you long to feel that same belonging. The way they care and how it is projected to the readers is a testament to the author and her special insight into the hearts of her characters and her love for nature.
