Tammy Jo Trask has had a lot on her plate lately. And things are about to get even worse.
Bryn Lyons wants Tammy in a bad way. When she comes to him for help, he knows that in doing so it will keep her in his life for a while.
First it starts with one kidnapping and just as Tammy Jo escaped from that one another kidnapping takes place from someone completely different. Trying to stay away from the people who are constantly tying her up, chaining her up, and being an all around pain in her rear end is hard enough, but when the World Association of Magic shows up things get slightly more complicated. Because now will Tammy not only have to fight certain townspeople, the other kidnapper, her sizzling attraction to Bryn which includes a prophecy of some kind, but she also has to contend with his ex-girlfriend in the form a woman who oozes confidence. Just as Tammy suspects things cannot get any worse, they do in a completely Biblical proportion.
Ms. Frost pours on the charm in this tale of a woman determined to fight for justice, even if it means going against the very people who raised her. The twists and turns within this novel just kept coming and the characters found themselves embroiled in one scheme after another. I like how Tammy’s confidence is boosted as she learns not so much to control her powers but to use the nature around her when necessary. This novel is part of a series and Bryn and Tammy have a history that I did not always understand as I have not read any of the other books in this series. Overall, I would say that Halfway Hexed being a good read would be quite the understatement.
