GUILTY AS CHARGED
Book 1 of the Bradford Sisters Trilogy

Rating: 4 Cups
Nicole Bradford has worked incredibly hard to keep her family together after the death of her parents. She gave up her dream of being a wedding dress designer and never looked back. Now she has a rewarding job and her sisters are doing well.
Max Paradis is handsome, wealthy and has little trust in women due to a less than happy marriage. He is good at business and protective of his brother and his own feelings.
Nicole and Max’s romance is fast moving and almost too good to be true. Nicole has some secrets in her past, and a blackmailer complicating her present. Max finds out and overreacts in a spectacular way without waiting for any explanations. Nicole will not stay with someone who feels that way about her, but has to deal with Max since her sister is marrying his brother. Since she is working two jobs and avoiding a blackmailer, she has no time for him anyway. She hopes someday Max will find out just how badly he has wronged her.
This is an entertaining and fast-moving romance. The plot features two very strong and attractive characters, and a rollercoaster of a romance. Nicole was innocent of wrongdoing in the past and is being victimized again by both her past and present lovers. I really liked both her and her boss, Reed. Max is sexy and handsome but his misjudgment of Nicole put me off a bit. Her sisters are likable, if a bit dependent on her. The plot is well crafted, and I really enjoyed this story.
