GREETINGS FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE
Rating: 4 Cups
The queen of organization and mistress of lists, Lainey Byrne has it all under control. She will take care of everything because that is what she does, and it is the only way.
Long hours and dedication are what it takes for Adam to make a success of his restaurant. His free time is precious, and he lovingly spends it with Lainey, assuming she feels the same.
Lainey puts her job on hold, sublets her apartment, and takes off to spend a year in Ireland running her late aunt’s B & B. Her parents really need the money from the sale of the B & B, and honestly who else in her family could do it? Leaving Adam was hard, but like everything else, it was the right decision to make. The days turn into weeks and then months, and ever so slowly Lainey’s perfectly ordered little life begins to unravel at the seams.
Poor, poor Lainey. So many lists, so little time. I love how she thinks she can script everyone’s life, right down to what they will say and how they will act. But oh how life tends to come back, and bite her right in the rear. She really does deserve the rude awakening she gets from friends and family, and for all of the Laineys in the world, chill out, calm down, and read this book!
