One Man’s Trash is Another Man’s Treasure

Amy Jordan works for an online publishing company doing freelance marketing. Liam O’Toole owns an art shop full of objects made from other people’s garbage. When Amy spots Liam picking up colored jugs and leaving the white ones, she has to investigate and figure out what he is up to.

Ms. Austin wrote a beautiful and soulful tale. This story of passion and art had me enthralled from the very beginning. The fact that this story has an ending that ties the tale together just makes it that much better.

Arresting Developments

Heather Carnes works for a sleaze ball boss who is constantly trying to pet her most intimate parts. Jake Striker is a warden and interested in contributing to the article on the piping plover. When Heather first sees Jake, he is not anything like she expected. What happens next will have her believing that handcuffs can be used for more than just arresting and detaining criminals.

Ms. Seuratt takes a warden with the fetish of wanting to be in control and pits him against a woman who just wants him period. While Heather has pictures of men in erotic poses with the environment being the main theme, she does not find any of them to be what she wants in a man. Jake is a no nonsense man who takes his job seriously, but once he is off duty watch out! This is a fun story that will keep you entertained throughout most of the tale.

Neptune Falls

Carny is hiking while it is still cold enough to keep the vacationers away. As a dominatrix to Jason, they have not had sex yet and she needs to figure out how to get him to top her. Now she must decide whether she wants something more permanent with him or if they should go their separate ways.

This story is a mixture of intrigue, sexiness, the paranormal, and at times it is just weird. While N.T. Morley has written an interesting tale, there were times I could not quite follow the thought process of Carny. What I did like about this story was how she uses the journey up the hiking trail to figure out where she wants to go from here in her life. This is a unique tale with some very special characters and an ending that will not leave you hanging.

Hot Water

Aidan Tierney has built an environmentally sound power plant that is powered by geothermal energy. Dr. Elizabeth Hastings has been on board with the idea of the power plant from the beginning, even designing a water transport that helps maximize the plants job. Elizabeth knows she has come to love Aidan and the way he explores her sensuality within the confines of the power plant. What will happen when he finds out that she will be leaving the country and not coming back for years to come?

Ms. Roman has written an emotionally and stimulatingly charged story full of love and sensuality. This was not only beautifully composed but the type of tale I love to read, where you can connect with the characters. This story was easy to read from beginning to end and the conclusion of it will not leave you hanging, which made me a very happy reader.

Midnight at the 11th Hour Cowboy Bar

It is 1980 and there has been a murder in Easy, Texas. A reporter is now on the prowl to figure out who killed the big game hunter. When the results come back from the blood taken from the dead man and point towards her boyfriend, the reporter's hopes plummet. Now she is racing to find clues that can exonerate Tobias before someone else points the finger at him.

Ms. Alexander wrote a good mystery with some interesting characters. I had a problem with the main female lead as she did not have a name and I could not connect with her. I did not care for the sex scene either, as some of the wording was just plain weird. Not a bad read but not something that I would remember or want to read a second time.

The Magic of Fairswale

Queen Lucinda may love King Robert, but she is still trying to get used to ruling the little kingdom of Fairswale. King Robert knows he is not the typical prince charming, instead the father of the prince who got the woman dubbed Cinderella. The Planting Festival is an important job for the king and queen to partake in. Will the magic of their lovemaking not only help the planting season but possibly bring the kingdom closer together?

Mr. Arnold has taken the Cinderella story and given it a unique spin and added his own flavor to make this a wonderful fairytale. With the king being over twenty years older than the queen who represents Cinderella, it made for an even more attention-grabbing story. An amazing tale of love, life, fertility, and trying to fit into a kingdom, I found myself enraptured with this story and all its inhabitants.

Fanatic

Bella owns Green Goddess, a recycled clothing store. Neil is the man that some of the animal rights activists look up to and have deemed him their leader. When Bella puts a recycled fur piece in the storefront display, she came into work the next morning with red paint splattered across the front window. A week later when the leader of the activists shows up at her store, she is ready to show the man exactly how nice lying on fur really can be.

This is one hot story with an easy cadence that make it a very smooth read. The sex scenes are so sizzling, from a lesbian scene to a man and woman scene, it brings an interesting mix into the tale. I also love the idea of how Bella brought about recycling clothing and her very good point about recycled fur. A wonderful and entertaining read that will leave a smile on your face.

Gone Fishing

Lobster fisherman, Greg Conrad, is used to getting beaten down from reporters and people who do not understand how he works. When one of the female reporters watches him with hungry eyes, Greg decides that maybe leading by example is the best way for her to see his side of the story. When the reporter goes fishing for lobsters with Greg, she is surprised with how great a feeling she gets from being on the boat and close to nature. Even better is when the swaying boat has her body rocking against Greg’s.

One of the best parts of this story was how Greg got the reporter to see his side of things. However, the fact that the female did not have a name put me off a little bit. Ms. Valentine did a good job of keeping me aware of the conflict between the reporter and the fisherman. A good read with a funny ending that kept me happy and entertained.

Tree Hugger

Trina is part of the Concerned Students for a Better World program. Will decides to join only because he wants to get to know her better. Now that Will has gotten what he wants and Trina lives with him, he has stopped caring about doing any good for the environment. Trina gives him an ultimatum, he goes to her next project or she is moving out.

Ms. Champa wrote a good story but I felt as if Trina was judging Will. He talks about his inability to help and his girlfriend just came off cold and heartless to me. It was not a bad read just her attitude towards Will really put me off the story. But I did think the last paragraph was very cute and funny.

Blackberry Wine

Tasha is turning her parents’ pesticide filled farm into an organic farm for jellies and wines. Jeff rides back into town after years of being away and just happens to come through her front door. She is ready to have a nice hot and heavy affair with Jeff that has been years in the making but he is afraid she will want more than a few good rolls in the sack. What will happen when Tasha finally gets up the nerve to ask Jeff if he is ready for some heavy action?

This is a very cute and sweet story full of suggestive speeches and remembered passions. Ms. Kensington uses a reminiscent attitude to spark the reader’s imagination. She definitely pulled me into the mix as she told about Tasha’s struggle with turning the farm and why. I also love how Jeff goes from having the bad boy persona to becoming something more.

Ramble On

Donna is an environmental lobbyist who uses all of her clout to save the environment. Jeff is an actor who is thinking of taking a job at an insurance agency just to impress her family. They go on an outdoor walk into the park where they begin to explore sex outside and possibly loosen up after their stressful day. Can Donna convince Jeff not to take the insurance job and instead to continue to be true to himself and who he is?

Ms. Woodlawn has such an important message within this story. One of the best parts of this story is how much faith Donna has in Jeff as an actor and as a person. I fell in love with this tale because of that element alone. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing out a story that makes me want to grin from ear to ear because of the beautiful moral of this wonderful tale!

The Dark Part of the Woods

Joe awakens to find himself in strange surroundings. When he sees the beautiful blonde woman standing naked beside him, Joe really thinks he is dreaming. As she explains about her being a Forest Sprite, he does not know what to think. Will Joe leave his dream house and dream girl behind, or will the Forest Sprite be able to convince him to stay?

This story is bizarre for me which made it a little harder for me to get into. Ms. Atkinson did have some very unique characteristics within the story that I found interesting. I liked how Joe is given a second chance to get back to the dream world he had created. I also liked how exactly that world was created, using the spilled seeds of violence, but not enough for me to want to read this story again.

The Green Love Anthology had some ups and some downs. One of the best parts of this anthology on the whole is the fact that even though the main storyline revolves around the environment, there is such a diverse way of telling the story through these twelve different tales. Some of the sex scenes were much racier than others, which gave my pallet a change of pace and set a nice tone. I also liked how various the subgenres were within this book, leaving you definitely less than bored overall. After reading this anthology, I can guarantee that I will never look at saving the environment in quite the same way.

Caution: This tale contains many different subgenres including f/f, much older man/ younger woman, a female dominatrix, hints of voyeurism, masturbation, and is a red-hot romance!
