Nick Jacobsen is really not into the Christmas spirit this year after his mother’s death. When a nasty snow storm happens and a beautiful woman happens to get her car stuck in a snow drift, he offers her shelter from the storm. Never imagining what a wonderful change of plans will turn out to be.
Joy Heatherfield was on her way to a friend’s house and stopped for a last minute gift at Nick’s gallery. She knew the snow was bad but when she happened to get her car stuck, she took Nick up on the offer of shelter from the storm.
Nick and Joy seem to hit it off rather quickly feeling very comfortable with each other. But as their relationship progresses some small obstacles rear their heads, hopefully not putting this budding romance to a quick end.
A Christmas story and finding unexpected love is what I thought I would read about in Golden Christmas and I did, but as much as I liked the characters and loved the concept of the plot I found myself disappointed by the lack of consistency throughout the story. I must say to the reader use your own judgment on this book as we all have different opinions.
