Little Cub likes to learn new things. She is an inquisitive polar bear when it comes to the world and learning about others species of bears.
Mama Bear tries to answer all of Little Cubs questions as she teaches her about life and the beautiful world that surrounds them.
Little Cub has the pinkest polar bear tongue her mother has ever seen. When her mother begins telling her about the snow and other bears, she is anxious to learn more. She never imagined there were other bears, such as the Black Bears, Panda Bears, Sloth Bears, and even Grizzly Bears. Little Cub is impressed when she learns the parts of the world they dwell and the different things they eat for food. Most importantly Little Cub learns that God made each bear special and made an amazing world for us all to dwell in.
God Gave Us the World is a sweet book with a good learning point; I would have to say, not only for children but adults as well, especially in remembering to take care of this world we live in. Also to consider that while God made the world and everything around us, it is our home, and if we don’t take care of it, God becomes sad. I also thought the story was quite visual in the way I could even picture Mama Bear catching the snowflakes on her tongue. Lisa Tawn Bergren pens an exquisite story, and the art created by Laura J. Bryant is absolutely picturesque. I believe it is a story that children will love to read over and over again.
