FORGET ME NOT
Rating: 4 Cups
She has been beaten and left for dead. She has no idea of her name and no memory, but she is very afraid. She is only sure of her faith and that someone wants her dead.
Ben's life ended with the murder of his wife and small son. He only exists to find the killers and has lost his faith and interest in anything else.
When a woman is found savagely beaten in the middle of nowhere, her rescuer brings her to the Crossroads Crisis Center. There despite her injuries it becomes obvious that she bears a striking resemblance to the late founder Susan Brandt. She is brought to the attention of Ben Brandt who reacts in a hostile manner victimizing her again. He is remorseful and determined to help the woman who is in more danger than she realizes.
This is a very exciting novel and the action never lets up from the very beginning. The mysterious woman has a very strong character and is determined to find out who she is and why someone wants to kill her. Ben is a hurt and bitter man who feels guilty because he failed to protect his family. The author slowly feeds the reader the details and clues until they are so hooked that they would rather read than eat or sleep. The plot builds to a very exciting conclusion. The book seems to be aimed at Christian readers and there are many references to God and His plan, but the plot is well worth the read, even to those who are not fans of the inspirational genre.
