Immortals, Book 4
Paranormal Erotic Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Lyssa James is all alone. She is an orphan raised in foster care. She has no close friends or a steady relationship. Once young, beautiful and full of life, eight years in the Abyss have changed everything.
Gideon Bennett is an Immortal Warrior. Once a scientist, he has moved from the cerebral world to the physical. He is haunted by his failure to save Lyssa James from the demon, Damien, eight years before.
Lyssa is no more. After eight years in the demon realm called the Abyss and her acceptance of a demon mark, she is now Nyx. Escaping with the help of a friend who has given his life for her freedom, she has walked straight into the arms of the man she has never forgotten. Unfortunately, his job is to protect the world from the likes of her.
I really enjoy this story. Lyssa’s struggle to maintain her humanity despite eight years in actual hell will immediately gain your sympathy. Her relationship with Gideon is fascinating. There are more ups and downs than a roller coaster. Gideon is often harsh with Lyssa/Nyx despite his growing feelings for her. He is reluctant to trust her, but she is even less willing to trust herself. Things really come to a head with the arrival of Gideon’s family, making the plot even more exciting. I definitely recommend this series to all fans of paranormal romance and suspense.
