MG Carmody will do what it takes to make it. One thing she does not have is money. She decides to take on several jobs and gigs, whatever it takes, to pay off the debt of her uncle as he is dying. Harmody Carmody has only one desire-for MG to keep up the farm. Will she be able to get past the deception of her Great-Aunt Nedda to fulfill the dreams of her uncle or even her own?
Joe LeBlanc is having brighter days as he faces his past and finally sees he is no longer drowning with suffering. However, there is sabotage going on internally at the restaurant where he is the Head Chef. He does not know how much will be lost before the culprit is found. On top of it, he has other distractions to keep him busy, one being the new girl in town.
The life MG Carmody has before arriving in the local small town seems headed for success. However, now she is looking for income and desperate for work. Working with Joe is a pleasure in more than one way. She is grateful for little blessings and has no idea of the many obstacles and miracles to come. Neither does Joe.
I like the humor, strife, love, compassion, hardships, mystery, suspense and passion in this book. The reader can see true depictions of the ordinary person in this novel, with characters that make it more than ordinary as they complement each other so well. The plot is well written and developed. Everything flows from start to finish. The richness of each character will touch readers’ hearts and make them smile and laugh.
