Sweet Contemporary Romance

Candy Norwood runs a small pet shop in Maine. Her family runs a multi-billion dollar company on Wall Street, but that life was never for her. She loves her father and adores her brother, but she wants a quiet life with a man who loves the person she is.
Alex Reinhard runs the diner he inherited from his father. He lives a quiet life with few friends and even fewer family members, but he is content if not truly happy. That is until a small aircraft crashes right in front of him. He rescues the pilot and his small but perfectly formed sister from the wreckage, which is about to explode.
Alex is naturally shy and mild mannered, constantly questioning his ability to keep someone of Candy’s upbringing happy. Candy soon grows to love Alex although she does not fully understand his upset when she agrees to spend a week helping her father in New York. Afraid this is going to be the end of their relationship, she puts off ringing him. But is she doing more harm than good?
This is a beautifully written story of true love, Candy and Alex have a spark between them from that first explosive meeting, but neither is fully aware of the other's feeling. The emotions from both are intense and made more so by the increased sexual tension of this sweet romance. Ms Keenan has reminded this reviewer that you do not need sexual scenes to have an exceptional and powerful romance.
