Autumn Winters has already had three interviews in one day and she is weary of job hunting. As a homemaker for twenty years who is now starting life over, seeking a job is not easy.
Jack Ayres is a writer, who writes about ghosts. Writing has always been his one true love. After meeting Autumn, there is something about her that clicks and he would like to get to know her better.
One thing Autumn does not need is to be fixed up with a date by her mother. When she is ready to start dating again, it will be on her terms. At thirty-nine, she never expected to be single as her son heads off to college. The divorce was a headache, then she learns her ex plans to remarry and wishes their son to attend the wedding. When Jack first sees Autumn he finds her attractive but his mother warns, the girl is going through a messy divorce. That does not stop Jack from learning a bit more about her but when things take a turn in Jack’s life; will he and Autumn be able to make a go of their relationship?
Falling for Autumn has some nice little perks in it that brings on smiles. I love the fitting room scene as well as the part about the underwear. Sandy Nicks composes a sweet romantic comedy that keeps the reader interested throughout. One cannot help but be touched and related some way to the character of Autumn. The problems with the divorce, the ex and the little toss for the son back and forth, is all things that happen within any troubled relationship and divorce. This heartfelt story makes the heart soar for joy. Autumn and Jack make this a downright excellent and good read.
