Book 2 in the Godmother Series

Rating: 3 Cups
With her secret of The Informer still under wraps, Toots Loudenberry turns her sites on the 3.8 million dollar catastrophe of her new home. She and her friends are having nightmares living in the pink and purple monstrosity, but soon Toots’ nightmares take on a definitively ghostly aura.
Running The Informer as the editor in chief is not turning out quite like Abby Simpson had planned. Yes, she loves her job and the opportunity to make The Informer a success, but Abby still enjoys getting out there and finding a great scoop.
Toots is not sure how much longer she and the girls can keep the fact that she owns The Informer from Abby, but so far so good. Right now she has more pressing problems with the ghostly appearances in her new home, and if that is not enough, Ida has a new love interest that is causing some concern all around. Abby, however, is flying high with the promise of a huge interview, but is it too good to be true? With the help of Chris Clay, Abby and her godmothers may get the answers they need, just maybe not the ones they want.
Toots and the godmothers are back to create a little more havoc. They may be seniors, but that has not disrupted their ability to get into trouble. Undoubtedly they are entertaining, but I find that many times their abrasive language and actions towards each other are just too much. And like Chris said, Abby and her mother are like two peas in a pod, which unfortunately is all too true.
