Raising two young boys and being widowed at such a young age, Shyanne is pretty cautious about who she dates, which is why it hurts so much when Meat walks out of her life.
Having his trust betrayed is no small matter for Tygerius, aka Meat, no matter how much his heart is involved. Getting that back takes work, which right now Meat does not have time for.
Keeping busy is a great way to get her mind off of Meat, although Shy is not so sure about how her friends are trying to help her cope. Hitting the dating scene makes her want to curl up in a ball and hide, but compared to hiking the frozen tundra with her boss, it is sounding like a better deal. She loves Meat, even if she fears it will never be reciprocated. Throwing herself at him, however, is not her style, so he will need to at least meet her halfway.
As a human in a shifter world, Shy feels woefully out of her element. Her lack of confidence often erupts in unfortunate ways, and while it is humorous, it sometimes makes her look foolish. I would also love to see the shifter side of this relationship come to life and get a feel for what Meat is really like. All said, this story is fun, a little kooky, and has a touch of heat to liven everything up.
