Emily is a young and attractive woman looking for a bit of adventure before she begins her real life in England. The product of a broken home, she travelled about her father's homeland, the United States of America, before travelling to Morocco.

Rafi is a wealthy widower and the father of a teenage daughter. He is an authoritative, but attractive, man who expects to be obeyed without question.

Emily's adventures abroad lead her to Morocco, where she is to be an English teacher to some small children. That job falls through, leaving her stranded and at a loose end until her putative employer's brother Rafi offers her a job as companion to his teenage daughter. That alone leaves her apprehensive, but so does her attraction to her handsome and domineering new employer.

This story reads like an old fashioned Harlequin romance. It is a refreshing change once in a while to read a story that is not full of sex scenes and concentrates more on the story. The author takes the reader on a very interesting trip to Morocco, and her descriptions of places and people are very good. The plot is very involving and combines romance with a bit of suspense, leading to a very satisfying conclusion. I very much enjoyed this story and hope to read more from this author.
