Literally night after night, Benjamin Thornton is barraged by dreams of a woman. They are drawn to each other by some invisible force, but the connection is as powerfully erotic as it is disturbing.
Writing horror novels gives Naomi Carter an outlet for her vastly overactive imagination. Her dreams, or rather nightmares, are fuel for her stories, but the underlying message is not something she wants to unveil.
One glimpse at the man renting the room next to her has Naomi fighting for control, and his reaction to seeing her is just as explosive. Somewhere, somehow they know each other on an almost cellular level, and the sexual tension is stratospherically off the charts, but there is a darkness to it all that neither can deny. Ben and Naomi are barely able to suppress their growing attraction when all hell breaks loose around them. Someone wants them, mind and body, and as their memories and abilities emerge, the horror of their past pales in comparison to what is awaiting them now.
The rush of your breath and the pounding of your pulse will let you know just how unnerving this novel truly is. Naomi’s and Ben’s characters are not your average couple; in fact there are times when you dislike or are disgusted with both of them, but that is exactly what makes them so vivid and alive. They both have demons within that they struggle to overcome, and that fight really draws the reader in. I sincerely hope that this story continues on, because there is so much more to learn and love about the victims of Psychorp.
