Eva made a terrible mistake. She trusted a man, and it almost killed her, in fact, it still might. In order to save her life, she must trust a man of another kind.
Addison is tired of cleaning up the messes his ex-wife and neighbor leave behind. Eva is innocent, and before he knows it he is protecting Eva, which could cost him whatever life he has left in eternity.
Addison is unsure why the need to protect Eva is so strong or how she feels so familiar. In order to save her, he throws down the gauntlet and hopes he is strong enough to prevail. Eva’s only hope is that she and Addison survive.
Love is the key to the story. Although the story has an erotic flavor, the leading element is love and sacrifice. I thought the eternal ex-wife was an inspirational element to a paranormal story. It takes the bad divorces between humans and elevates them to a whole new level. I enjoyed this story and found the vampire characters realistic and enjoyable.
