EAGLE RIVER ALPHA

Rating: 3 Cups
Jade is twenty-one and works in a grocery store. Her mother died eight months ago after a long illness, and Jade must fulfill a promise made to her before going on to live her own life.
Sloane is the Alpha of the Eagle River Pack. He is tall, dark, and extremely handsome. He is a strong leader to his people but is having trouble securing his mate.
Jade’s mother’s last wish was that she travel to Eagle River to see her childhood home. While there, she meets Sloane Taggert, the Alpha of the Eagle River Pack. Sloane knows that she is his true mate, but Jade has no idea that werewolves exist, let alone that she is destined to be their queen. It is a dangerous life, particularly with the Hell Hound pack determined to take Sloane’s territory and pack. She must not only bond with Sloane, but with his brothers and betas.
This is an interesting werewolf tale with some scorching hot love scenes. The plot is exciting and gripping, but left me with a lot of questions. I wondered why her mother’s childhood home was filled with her family’s belongings years after they supposedly moved away. Devlin Spawn and his connection to the Tammy character supposedly in love with Sloane is not really clear. All in all, this is a good story, but I would have liked a little more emphasis on the plot points despite the excellent and creative love scenes.
