Annaleigh is a stubborn, no holding back vampire Princess. She is beautiful, cunning and has absolutely no desire to be a Princess. From the first scenes of Drinking Death humor is used to create a very vivid picture of this not so royal thrown holder.
Zane is just a stubborn as Annaleigh, but has one rather large draw back … mortality and when one is battling a creature like the Prime death is more than just a passing concern!
Annaleigh was leading a perfectly normal and mundane experience, well has mundane as any vampire’s could be. Live at night, sleep all day, and the occasional silver wrapped cross in her front yard all was well. At least until a pesky prophecy rears its ugly little head and mucks everything up, destiny is showing very quickly that she can run but there is no place to hide from her role as the last Blood Princess.
Mara Lee created fantastically realistic fantasy world. From nearly page one I was hooked in and kept hooked until the very end. All of the characters had a depth about them that made them leap off the page and weave a story that left me spell bound. From the scene with the silver laden cross to the dinner scene with Annaleigh, Zane, and Nicolas I was left laughing and cursing the bad guys all in the same breath! This was great read to any vampire lover’s collection! This is book one of the The Blood Princess Chronicles.
