ROBERT E. CRULL
Rating: 3 Cups
Drew has voices in his head. His mission in life is to give women the ultimate gift, death. He is very clever and keeps a record of each event.
Andy is in a coma after a serious car accident. He owns his own business, is a workaholic and nothing like the man his wife, Ann Marie, married.
Drew keeps a careful accounting of every woman he has killed and documents each one thoroughly. The voice in his head encourages him when he does what it says and torments him when he resists. He knows he is impossible to stop.
Most of this book is told through the eyes of Drew the serial killer. His point of view is disturbing at best, and there is quite a bit of graphic violence throughout the book. I prefer a book where the killer is not identified in the first chapter and like a little more suspense, but the author has the horror part of this book down very well. The murders are pretty detailed and those details are horrific. The other part of the story, that of the comatose Andy, had me puzzled a bit at first but ended up working nicely with the plot.
