DESTINIES IN DARKNESS PART 2
Book 3: Kaldor Saga
Erotic Romance, Alternative (M/M or F/F), Paranormal, Vampires/Werewolves
Rating: 5 Cups
Eric is a fledging vampire and the lover of a centuries old vampire named Keenan. He was psychic when human, and he still has his abilities and then some. Fortunately, he also has Keenan to help him temper them and the fall out when he uses his gifts.
Keenan is a centuries old vampire who has discovered his humanity by loving the fledging Eric. He loves Eric more than anything, but he has a strong jealous streak when it comes to him.
Keenan and Eric love each other, but Eric is also capable of loving other people besides Keenan and does so. Unfortunately, Keenan has a very hard time accepting this and is extremely jealous of Eric’s friendship with a young Kaldorian who has been stranded on Earth. The more time Eric spends with his pregnant friend, Gabriel, the more jealous Keenan becomes, to the point where he totally shuts Eric out of their mental bond. As if that were not bad enough, now he has to deal with a group of ancients/demons, one of whom is Gabriel’s mate. Since relations between the demons on Earth who are descendants of the ancients and the rest of the paranormal community are less than stellar, this could lead to a disaster if Keenan and the other paranormals are not careful. Will Keenan and Eric be able to work out their differences? Will Keenan come to understand that Eric can love more than one person? And will Keenan and his band of paranormals be able to help the ancients find what they are looking for?
This second part to Destinies in Darkness totally rocked! The relationships between all the characters are really fleshed out as are the emotions. I really enjoyed, in particular, how Ms. Hyacinth showed the growth of the relationship between Keenan and Eric. I loved reading about the expansion and explanation of the different worlds. The reader gets a more in depth view of the paranormal world on Earth. I was also very happy to see one more loose end tied up, and that Ms. Hyacinth left plenty of room for more books in this series. This series just keeps getting better and better, and I am totally ready to buy the next book! If you enjoy sagas, m/m romance, and the paranormal, then you simply must get copies of all the books in this series. They do have to be read in order, but it is money well spent!
