DESIRE TO DIE FOR

Kenric St. James is a three-hundred-year-old vampire who misses a woman’s touch. Unfortunately, there is no place in his world for a woman, until he meets Emily.
Emily Ross was on her way to pull duty, in trauma, when she sees a hurt man alongside the road. As a professional nurse, she pulls over to care for him, never expecting to become a part of his life.
Kenric has to think about the Enclave, his warrior of vampires who have united with him in an allegiance, as he seeks revenge against Marguerite for taking his beloved from him. She makes his life so miserable; he feels he will never feel anything for a woman again, until Emily comes to his rescue. After Emily goes to check on Kenric in the ER, she never expected to black out, only to awake in his home and be told he is a vampire. She does not believe in such myths. Emily already has enough trouble with her abusive ex-fiancé, Jeff, but Kenric appears to be different from any other man. He has a kind soul. Can she believe and trust Kenric for what he is, as their souls unite together, or will people from their past darker any future for them?
Desire to Die For has a vampire with bite in every sense of the word. Jessica Lee incorporates a well-written read with Kenric and Emily. The couple has such depth, and the reader feels the pain that they have suffered, in the past, as the present brings comfort to their troubled souls. Marguerite is really portrayed as a wicked, sinister evil person; I would hate to fall into her path. The whole cast of characters each unfold, making this story one that keeps the reader intrigued until the exciting conclusion.
