Wynne Fischer has just had the shock of her life. Not only has her fiance dumped her for a man, but she has also found out he prefers the world of BDSM to vanilla sex.
As a vampire who oozes self-control, Dierk Sorenson is a natural when it comes to being a dominant. When his brother, the vampire king, asks him to watch over the BDSM club Twilight for six months, Dierk agrees.
When her best friend asks her to come see what the world of bondage and submission is all about, Wynne finally accepts expecting to be repulsed. Instead, her eyes are opened as her body sings a tune of passion for those who take control of her body through various means. Rolf introduces her to the world of BDSM, followed closely by Master Zane, who teaches her about her resistance to pain. But it is Dierk who calls to her soul as it cries out for him, even as he keeps more than one secret from her that may just destroy her heart forever.
Ms. Taylor has written a tale full of a dark and succulent taste, one that shows the reader what domination and submission is all about. However, it is not long before the storyline starts to drag a bit and sounds more like a how-to book for those who want to learn about bondage, spanking, and domination. Decadent Master does get better as I read further into the story. If I were to recommend this novel to someone, it would be to a reader who is just beginning to explore the world of BDSM as this book would explain it in such a way that they would understand. I am happy to report though that I found the ending to be delightfully wicked and left me with a smile on my face.
