Willie Alvarez is a mechanic in a small town. She has anger issues that get in the way of her social life and a sister who is a selfish parasite with few morals.
Cody Gray is from Texas. He is a shape shifter, a coyote to be exact, and he is travelling around aimlessly looking for his mate and a place to start a new pack.
Cody’s travels take him to Coopersville, where the scent of a she-wolf attracts his attention. The she herself is very attention worthy and very Alpha. Sensing that he has found his mate, he sets himself to charm her. She has some issues with intimacy, she almost ripped the throat out of the last date she had, and she does not know she is a wolf. The local wolf pack has also caught scent of her, and is determined to make her one of them.
This is a very entertaining shape shifter tale. Cody is charming and wily and determined to win Willie over. Willie is confused about being a wolf and afraid that she might hurt anyone she has sex with. Cody’s patience with her and the hot love scenes really make the story. Willie’s sister Beth is another story, and she really has no redeeming qualities at all. I liked the fact that Willie is the alpha part of the couple and I enjoyed the way she handled the less than impressive wolf pack. This quick read is definitely a winner.
