Rating: 5 Cups
Nathaniel is a detective who thought who always had a firm grasp on reality but that all changed the day his partner is murdered by the serial killer they are investigating. When the serial killer leads him to Jacob’s Cove Nate had no idea he was on a collision course with his destiny.
Lieutenant Sienna Storm has just arrived in town only to be met by a gruesome unexplained murder. With her department in shambles she is unsure if she is equipped to solve the crime and Nate just keeps getting in the way.
Nate’s world is turned upside down when he learns that there is more in the world than meets the eye. With this revelation comes the discovery that his description of the killer only makes him a sane man with an excellent memory. Will Nate and Storm solve the case before the killer strikes a little too close to home?
I love the Darkness series. Jacob’s Cove is an interesting town chalk full of characters that draws the reader in and keeps them hanging. Sheila Stewart is an amazing designer of original and realistic settings that make the reader never want to stop in the small towns they once thought were safe. If you have never had the opportunity to visit Jacob’s Cove then I urge to pick up Consuming the Darkness and stay a while. I would recommend the Darkness Series and Consuming the Darkness to all romance and paranormal fans.
