CLASSIC MURDER: MR. ROMANCE
Rating: 4 Cups
Katie Sinclair is the beautiful daughter of wealthy parents. A traumatic incident in high school caused her to hide her beauty and an independent spirit inspired her to pursue success on her own terms without the help of her parents.
Adam Russo is a self-made success and a diehard romantic. Tall, dark, wealthy, and handsome, he is known as Mr. Romance, but avoids commitment. He is a big fan of old movies and very likable.
Someone is killing Mr. Romance’s women. Adam Russo is famous for taking women on inventive and romantic weekend rendezvous' arranged by his personal assistant. When one of them is murdered, he thinks it is just a coincidence, until it happens again. He is just coming to terms with his feelings for his assistant, but cannot act on them until the killer is caught.
I really enjoyed this romantic mystery story. Adam is perfect in his role as “Mr. Romance” and Katie is his perfect “girl Friday.” The classic movie theme is ideal for the plot and the author takes full advantage. Cary Grant movies provide many great opportunities for mayhem. The killer is pretty mysterious at first, but diligent readers will be able to figure it out with the help of the author’s clues. Appealing characters and an intricate plot make for a very enjoyable mystery, especially for fans of Cary Grant and his movies.
