True Mates, Book 4

Multicultural Paranormal Shape-Shifter
Rating: 5 Cups
Shayla, computer queen, is moving for a job that puts her in the vicinity of Rory McFeloan, alpha hottie. Her friends warn her that shifters do not always do the quick fling, but she is not ready for a long-term relationship, even if all she can think about is Rory.
After his horrific childhood, Rory does not plan on mating. On meeting Shayla, however, he knows he has found his mate. When she leaves him, he discovers that managing the clan and its business is hard, doing so while getting his mate back is harder.
There are others, though, who have vowed to make the couple pay for the clan’s past sins. They will do all they can to hurt them, until it will take family and friends to stand up to the real monsters.
I love this book, and there is plenty of sex. Really, sex is more part of the book than much of the plot, but it is very well intertwined. An erotic writer has no worries, if the biggest complaint is–there is a lot of great sex. The characters are intriguing and I like seeing what makes them tick. Old characters are there, too, though new ones move the storyline into a fresh direction I want to follow, especially Rory’s gorgeous but mute brother, Kian. I have not been terribly shocked at one of the bad guys, yet it is heartbreaking. To console myself, I know a sequel is in the works. Yea!
