CHOCOLATE SNAKE BITE
Aspen Mountain Press
Erotic; Paranormal; Contemporary Romance
Rating: 3 Cups
Val is mortal, loves a serpentine shifter, and works for a werewolf.
Dale knows that Val wants more from him. She wants everything his entire snake half can offer, but he is afraid it will turn her away from him forever.
As Val continues to try to get Dale to claim her and he refuses, their fighting escalates and their lovemaking deteriorates. It gets to the point where Dale decides to take a love potion, one that can get him into some very serious trouble. Can Val and Dale fix their problems or are they destined to split apart? When Dale is summoned home, will it help their problem or have them both leaving with broken hearts?
The plot behind the actual story was good; a couple who is having issues with trust, communications, and understanding the other person’s world. Unfortunately I felt that with all the sex going on, it deterred from the actual storyline. I feel that though the problems seem to come to a head, there really was not a big climactic resolution to their many problems. I will say that when it comes to hedonistic pleasure, Selena Illyria knows erotica. I was slightly disappointed with Chocolate Snake Bite but enjoyed the sexual aspect of the novel.
Caution: This tale contains scenes of BDSM, sex toys, m/f/m, anal play, anal sex, m/m/f/m, food used during sex, and voyeurism.
