BORN IN BLOOD

Suspense, Thriller (Sensual)
Rating: 4 Cups
Jane Blackwood feels after twelve years her amnesia is slowly cracking, leaving her with a hovering feeling of doom. She is determined that no one will run her off her business.
Nelson Blackwood thought his sis was still in Hollywood doing stunts. It has been years since he has seen her, but he never imagined after seeing her, he would later end up in handcuffs.
Jane says goodbye to L.A. and heads to Sacramento and opens up a JB Charters. Her helicopter business offers instruction to flight students, and charters, among other services. She still struggles with an identity that is hard to recall after a terrible incident when she was twelve. After one of her helicopters is sabotaged, and her brother, Nelson, shows up accused of killing a drug dealer, she begins feeling that dreaded doom. Since Nelson needs a job and Jane needs a mechanic, she hires him. They should catch up on the past as to why he has stayed away for three years and why she left L.A. but with Nelson being a suspect in the death of a drug dealer, and Jane feeling like someone is wishing her harm, they have their hands full trying to see who is out to destroy them.
I found Born In Blood to be filled with great drama. The storyline kept a good pace and there were some twists and turns not expected along the way. Jane is tough and bold; I like her character. Nelson is enigmatic and strong in his actions. He has his way of dealing with matters. Louise Crawford pens a story that kept this reader indulged in every word. She hooks the reader with an intensity that surrounds the players, allowing the reader to share in the feelings that the players endure in this superb read.
