BDSM Erotic Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Guilt is a constant reminder for Madeline Stone, even as she tries bit by bit to reclaim some semblance of life. Her sister died in a car accident that is her fault. Not a day goes by that Maddy does not wish it had been her instead.
At one time, Alex Fraser has feared his inclination for a BDSM lifestyle. Though this fear costs him dearly, he will never regret the gift it gives him. He has since built an empire, yet to this day trust is something he has never had with another woman.
One tiny step at a time is Maddy’s way of dealing with fear, of moving forward, which is what brings her in direct contact with Alex, owner of El Diablo casino. Her nerves shoot sky high just being in the presence of a man as gorgeous and as dominant as Alex. Still, her constant state of fear somehow abates. Never has Alex been drawn to someone like he is to Maddy, but trust is a two-way street. Until she shares what has happened in her past, there will be no going forward, which means he cannot allow her any closer to his heart.
Protecting what he holds so dear only serves to show just what kind of man Alex truly is, which is what you want to see in someone who lives a BDSM lifestyle. Maddy, in my opinion, has much farther to go to get her head on straight, yet she instinctively feels the goodness and strength that Alex exudes. Their relationship soothes something in both of them that pulls you right into the heart of this story. The sex is just icing on the cake. And who does not love cake!
