Having been born without sight, Adam is very adept at using his other senses in ways most people never imagine, and yet finding someone to love seems to be beyond him. The only “visual” images he has ever seen were through a fuzzy mental link he had with his brother Michael, but even those faded away as they got older.
He was so close to finishing his internship when the bottom fell out of his world, and now Luke feels nothing but anger, guilt, and a desperate fear that his life is meaningless. He needs to bury those feelings deep and move on, but that is so much easier said than done.
As well as Adam does on his own, there are times when he must rely on others, and to have Luke in his home helping out as part of his probation is both a blessing and a curse. Just listening to Luke and having him near is sending Adam’s libido into overdrive, and to experience mental pictures through Luke’s touch, has him very unsure on how to proceed. There is no way in the world someone as wonderful and gorgeous as Adam could want anything to do with a man like Luke, but as the days progress so does their mutual desire. Adam wants Luke more than anything, and not just in his bed, but Luke is holding a huge part of himself back, and if he cannot be open and honest, what kind of future could they possibly have?
The fires that burn within the hearts of these two men are as powerful as they are tremulous. They share a link that is so uncommon and so wondrous it makes you want to believe in its reality. Adam and Luke will steal your heart away as easily as they do for each other, and the ride is an exhilarating freefall of passion and emotional cleansing. This is a beautiful romance between two men whose story just gets better and better as the pages roll by.
