BIG SKY DYNASTY
Rating: 4 Cups
When Daniel Corbet’s past catches up with him, the shock nearly bowls him over. The woman he married nine years ago has made pretty good fodder for some horrific nightmares, but to see her alive is much more terrifying than any nightmare.
If Georgia Michaels were to describe herself, she would say that sensible, quiet, and friendly are her most outstanding qualities. She works hard to keep her business afloat, but living a normal life in a small ranching community suits her just fine.
Georgia does not consider herself a gullible person, but she admits that Nicci Angeles really caught her unaware. The woman blew into Georgia’s knitting shop with her heart on her sleeve, and Georgia fell hook, line, and sinker for every tear and sniffle. Daniel will do whatever it takes to get Nicci out of his life once and for all, but more importantly he cannot allow her to harm an innocent like Georgia. The woman is pure evil, and as events unfold, Georgia and Daniel come to the sickening conclusion that they are prime targets for Nicci’s demented games.
I find that stories like these are far better than any horror novel, simply because they are so freakishly realistic. B. J. Daniels expertly delivers an antagonist that will have the hairs standing on the back of your neck. Her characters are as skillfully depicted as her storyline. Although romance really does not play an integral part in the plot, I eagerly recommend this to any suspense thriller fan.
